Meet Erin
One half of the heart behind True Colors
Welcome, I’m Erin, one of the hearts behind True Colors Greeting Cards. This brand was born from something real. A familiar feeling: standing in the card aisle, searching for something that reflected my love—and coming up empty. Settling for something close, and still changing the words to make it feel true.
As a Black, Queer Woman, I know what it’s like to move through spaces where your story isn’t always centered… sometimes not even seen. So I created something different. True Colors exists to fill that gap to make sure people like me, and so many others, can find cards that truly reflect their love, their identity, and the moments that matter most. Because everyone deserves to feel seen—especially in the ways we say, “I love you.”

Hi, I’m Taryn, the other beating heart behind True Colors Greeting Cards. Our brand and mission are rooted in “Us” and everything we represent. Being judged, questioned, and ultimately accepted is a journey many of us recognize, and even then, acceptance doesn’t always mean being fully seen.
Our paths — my path — deserve space, visibility, and celebration. As a Queer woman, I’ve crossed through more words than I can count. And like so many others, I’ve experienced the frustration of finding “the card” that finally says what you need, only to realize it’s addressed to the wrong person. That’s when I knew it was time to give a voice to those of us who’ve spent too long rewriting, reworking, and becoming the authors of our own cards. We got you! True Colors is here to make sure every kind of love — especially your kind of love — is seen, heard, and remembered.
